How to keep a printed t-shirt looking new
A few small habits make a big difference to how long the colours and print stay sharp.

A graphic tee is only as good as its print. These habits keep yours sharp wash after wash.
Washing
- Turn the tee inside out before washing — the print never rubs against other clothes
- Use cold or lukewarm water and a gentle cycle, or wash by hand
- Wash with similar colours, especially the first few times
- Skip bleach and strong stain removers on the printed area
Drying
- Dry in the shade, inside out; strong sun fades colours
- Avoid the tumble dryer — heat is the biggest enemy of a print
- Hang it or lay it flat so it keeps its shape
Ironing
Iron inside out on a low setting, and never iron directly on the print.
Storing
Fold your tees rather than hanging them for months — it keeps the shoulders from stretching.
Every Fly Free product page lists its own wash care under Product Details, so check there for anything specific to that piece.
